Mississippi State Port Authority

Location: Gulf Port, Misssissippi

Mississippi State Port Authority at Gulf Port looked to develop relationships with cruise lines, but the existing structure required a different profile for the curbing on the docks/port allowing for the cruise ship ramps to contact. Resulting modifications helped them secure a contract with the cruise line, resulting in a $XXX impact. ABC cut 200LF of 2’ thick x 18” tall concrete curbing flush to the dock slab, removed using 10K LB capacity forklift, loaded onto trucks and hauled off site. This was done in a 4 day period from start to finish and caused zero disturbance to the incoming and outgoing cargo ships. The Port then installed removable railing so they could be removed as needed to allow a new contract to be put in place to allow a cruise line to dock and properly drop their boarding ramp.
